Cabs Are NOT For Black Men!

So have you ever wanted to feel and look like a middle age white man? Dressed in a suit and carrying a briefcase? Well, I don't fit the description and never will. While trying to catch a cab on the corner of Fulton and Nostrand I faced the dilemma. No cab driver wanted to stop for me or my friends. Being that my friends had a darker complexion than I, I figured that I'd have better luck. Umm umm ummm...there wasn't a cab around that would pick us up. All though I am proud of my skin color and heritage, I figured out this was the worst time to be a young black man on a Friday night trying to catch a cab. So after waiting trying and failing for 25 minutes we finally met a good samaritan. Then, I realized he was a dick head like everyone else and asked us for the money first. SHAKE MY FUCKIN' HEAD! Are you fucking serious? I paid a thousand dollars just for my coat, you think I am going to just skip a cab fare? So, I finally endured what the entire male black race experiences at one point in their life. All these stereo types and shit sucks, definitely blowing mine. it sucks! So I will go car shopping again tomorrow so I won't be subjected to this IGNORANCE!

I'm a entertainer at heart, making music, films (love being in front and behind the camera), I must say, my first passion is writing. May it be lyrics poetry or novels, my first novel The Legend of Sean Knight will be done by the July 2009. Not to long ago, I was having a little cypher with the homie Jas ( www.litenbrite.blogspot.com) and we were sharing some of our work which I never write down. (I'm the HOV of poetry. Laugh Out Loud) She says I am her "broseph".

This was inspired by the expectations that people have, that never seem plausible. I'm 22 and I feel like 30 at times with all the weight of Kelly Price on my shoulders. GEESH!. CAN I LIVE? Who's the dick that seems to set expectations so high? Well, me and Jas just brought a pole. And where going to pole vault right over that wall of expectations and land in the GREEN GRASS OF SUCCESS.

If I got paid to say I wish
Then I'd fit in with the rest of them losers on that list
Cause every time I get focused
And put on a little pressure
An obstacle rise before you to try to test ya
I can't figure out how to master the art of perfection
So how come they are disappointed when the outcomes less than expected
I love my life, she's gotta be special
But I'm cheating on her cause every night I'm sleeping with depression
So, she commands her respect by fighting with me
While...
I'm just trying to beat the expiration date on success
And then, they tell me in due time, well my time is due
They ain't letting me in and telling me all exits are final

By Jazmonapolis
If I got paid to say I wish
I'd purchase a light without a broken switch
I'd buy a few more hopes, and hope they'd come true
If not then ill sell some of my soul
J Maybe my happiness, gives up a smile or 2
Every time I get focused
And my backs against the rope,
I can't even buy time because I'm too busy selling these hopes
My store is never closed, the neon OPEN light forever flickers

Introducing Vaso

Defined as royalty in the Greek language, Vaso, an inspiring rapper out of Brooklyn, New York is stepping out of Hip- Hop’s boundaries, and is bringing a new genre to the industry. He started at the age of thirteen, and now eight years later, he is on the road to rich dreams and success . Vaso is not a conscience rapper, nor is he one to get shot and rap about it. Vaso is reaching out to a different audience than most artists, to the young, fly, sexy, flashy, money making, fashionable females. Although Vaso is still an unsigned artist he maintains to keep reaching out and letting his music out there. Just this past Februaury, Vaso did the Cream Team Show in Brooklyn, NY , with BB King, performing his new hit single Gloss featuring the new artist of 2008, Ron Browz. As for Vaso being in the group ,“The Rich Kids” which pertain of BB King, another great up and coming artist and himself, they maintain a slogan, “ You don’t have to be rich at pocket, but you have to be rich at heart”. Vaso’s motivation as to being a rapper, was his older brother who seemed to accomplish everything Vaso wanted to do when he was younger, and Vaso wanted to be better and achieve something along the lines that his brother couldn’t, good music. As of that, Vaso was included in two mixtapes, One Way, The Stallions Ft. BB King, and came out with Independent Mixtape, Surprise. Vaso’s fourth mix tape is coming out soon, Unsigned and Under Rated as well as his Documentary which will be out in May 2009 directed by Kas.
